I think a lot of you would enjoy this PodCastle flash fiction piece. It’s only about 10 minutes, and it’s about how people have scars.

It got me thinking about scar stories. Here’s my favorite one of mine. I have this scar on one of my knees. It’s very faint now, but it’s from riding a little red wagon down a hill by my friend Lizzy’s house in elementary school. There’s a hill over there, and it was vacant and unoccupied for a long time, until they built a road up the hill. It was just like SimCity– you build a house and eventually houses spring up around it.

There weren’t any houses there yet, though, and once Lizzy let me steer and we crashed and I cut up my knee and I still have the scar.
