Interesting that this NWS page lists the 10.0 inches the following December (1959) as the biggest one day snowfall. Significant Snowfall is Albuquerque
Interesting. My backup source, the Western Regional Climate Center, also lists the 9.3 as being the old record. It lists that December 1959 10 inch as a total snow depth, rather than a one-day snowfall:
