The Amish are not Luddites. They simply chose not to use modern technologies, but don’t go around hitting it with hammers (hammers being invented prior to 1770. Interestingly enough, while they will not have telephones in their houses, they will use phones outside the house and they will accept car rides from neighbors or hire drivers. An interesting group of people.
Sorry. I did not mean to imply that I thought the Amish were Luddites. I was just amused at the notion of turning to the Internet for information about people who don’t turn to the Internet. Luddites and the Amish are two such groups.
