November forecast runs from the European Center for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts
It is raining again in Albuquerque, New Mexico, as I type these words.
But the latest forecast from the European Center for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts remains meh for the December-January-February snowpack season across the headwaters of the Rio Grande and the upper reaches of the Colorado River.
Arizona looks wetter.

These storms have added ground moisture to many areas and is an excellent base for snowpacks going into the winter which means likely better runoff for next spring.
Lake Powell has picked up over a million acre feet (much more than they got from last year’s snowpack meltdown) and is still going up. The Navajo reservoir has also added enough water that they’ll likely have to spill some water to have enough room for flood control. T. Roosevelt Reservoir has added enough water for an entire year and the season has months to go. Elephant Butte has also come up from nearly rock bottom but not as much yet because so many straws are taking sips along those long dry stretches…
These are only a few of the stories that have come from the past few storms. It will be interesting to see what happens next.
Farmers Almanac says about the same.
